New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) site has not been hacked and it’s obstructed due to fix work, an MHA official supported on Sunday.

“There has been no hacking. The site is under construction, that’s the reason why it’s down,” he explained.

The Home Ministry site remained inaccessible during Sunday morning, that was then attributed to a hacking in news reports.

Last month, guessed Pakistan-affiliated operatives had hacked the official site of the elite National Security Guard (NSG) and defaced it with a profanity-laden message contrary to the Prime Minister along with anti-India content.

More than 700 sites of various central and state government departments were hacked in the previous four decades and a whole lot of 8,348 persons were arrested for their involvement according to official statistics published.
